SERVICES FOR RESIDENTS

MEDICAL

A Registered Nurse Administrator is on staff with Certified Medication Aides are on duty 24 hours a day.  Residents are be administered prescribed medications on a timely schedule. Topics on health related issues are presented for the resident’s information. Transportation is provided to medical appointments. 

MEDICAID WAVIER 

Cherry Hills Estates is an approved medicaid wavier facility.  Eligibility isdetermined by the State of Nebraska Health and Human Service office located in Valentine, Nebraska.

DEPARTMENTS

There are have special departments for personal care, housekeeping, maintenance, van driver, and kitchen.  The fees include all laundry, housekeeping, and three meals a day.

LOCATION

There is a beautiful canyon view to the north where residents will see wildlife in a natural setting.  Cherry Hills Estates is located three blocks north of the

Cherry County Hospital.

FOOD

Home cooked meals are served every day!!   Soft serve ice cream and coffee are available throughout the day for residents and their guests.  Diabetic choices are available as needed or specified by your physician. Meals can be served to the public with a 24 hour notice.

PUBLIC CATERING/MEETINGS

In-house catering is offered with a wonderful choice of dishes to suit a variety of tastes.  Meeting rooms and dining rooms are available for any occasion such as a bridal shower, baby shower, birthday, anniversary, graduation, wedding reception, and bridge parties.

TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

Cherry Hills Estates provides transportation to local medical facilities to assist residents to their appointments.  Often times family members accompany the residents to their appointments.

MAINTENANCE

Cherry Hills Estates has a full-time maintenance employee, who keeps the building and the grounds in tip top shape. 

ACTIVITIES

Each day offers great activities including crafting, games, and daily exercise.  Movies are show weekly.  Residents go for outings to tour the countryside around the Valentine area. Chapel services are held each Sunday with several local pastors.  Cherry Hills Estates features area entertainment each Wednesday afternoon with music, singing, travel stories, etc.  Activities are organized for men and women’s groups.  Weekly shopping trips in Valentine are provided.
